What a superb barn conversion! The Piggery is an exceptionally high quality detached property, newly converted and beautifully presented. Set on a working family farm, surrounded by fields, in the gentle countryside at the heart of Somerset, this cottage is not only a perfect base for exploring but also for just taking a deep breath and winding down.

With two steps up to the front entrance, The Piggery has a lovely open plan living/dining/kitchen space, with a double sided wood-burning stove as a focal point to the room. High beamed ceilings speak of the history of what was a traditional working farm building. The outside wall-mounted drinking troughs have been brilliantly converted into lighting for the patio. Your neighbour The Cowstall, is close by but completely detached, so privacy wont be an issue at Yew Tree Farm.

There are two very comfortable bedrooms off a wide corridor, one with a king-size double bed and large walk-in en suite shower, the other with the flexibility of 'zip and link' twin beds, or a king-size bed. The family bathroom has a wonderful deep bath and a hand held shower attachment.

As this spacious property is single-storey and has a level path to the back door, it may be suitable for those with any mobility needs. The owner kindly provides a shower chair too.

The historic Cathedral City of Wells is just five miles away, you can glimpse Glastonbury Tor from the sitting-room, and the Mendip Hills for walking high up above the Somerset Levels are so close! The market town of Frome has a renowned monthly artisan market, and the famous cobbled St Catherine's is a winding street full of intriguing independent shops and cafes, whilst the local town of Shepton Mallet is becoming renowned for its vintage quarter. The unique Somerset Levels offer amazing RSPB nature reserves, as well as opportunities for fabulous off the beaten track cycling.
