Hidden in the secluded hamlet of Lower Calamansack along narrow leafy Cornish lanes, Creek Cottage is discovered down a long private lane, with a stunning outlook across the prettiest part of the Helford River to Frenchman's Creek, which inspired the famous Daphne du Maurier.

The end of terrace cottage is a lovely place to spend quality time together with family or friends, the large kitchen/diner is great for planning the adventures for the days ahead or enjoying a meal together. The cosy sitting-room has a beautiful granite fireplace with a large wood-burner and wonderful views over the Helford River, to Frenchman's Creek and rolling hills and woods beyond. The stable-door opens onto a small lane where you can wander down to the water's edge and dip your toes in the sea. There is a downstairs shower-room and utility space, which is very handy to wash off the sand after a day on the beach.

Up the steep stairs there are three airy bedrooms, one en suite, and a bathroom. The main bedroom has wonderful views across the river and an en suite shower-room. The second bedroom has 'zip and link' single beds, which can also be arranged as a double bed, and views over the Helford River. The third bedroom is a twin and shares the family bathroom with the second bedroom.

Outside the cottage is a sunny patio, with garden table and chairs, which is the ideal spot for a barbecue; you can follow the steep steps up to a small grassy garden with exceptional views all the way out to sea.

Creek Cottage is tranquil and quiet, but very well located; the pretty coastal town of Falmouth is only a ten minute drive away and there are many boutiques, restaurants, visitor attractions and sandy beaches nearby. The property also offers a FTTH (Fibre To The Home) broadband connection which provides a high speed (45 mpbs download; 10 mbps upload) internet connection so you can eaily stream a film or carry out plenty of research on places to explore on your holiday.

There is excellent sailing on the Helford River, a mooring can be organised by prior arrangement, and launching facilities for small boats or dinghies are available at the end of the lane or at nearby Port Navas. Boat hire can be made, by private arrangement, with a local company called Sailaway who can organise to have a boat dropped to the mooring (please be aware that the Helford River is tidal at this point and the mooring dries out at low tide).

The Helford has much to offer, the stunning sub-tropical gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan are fun for the whole family to enjoy. If you like an adventure, there is a slipway at the end of the lane where kayaks can be launched; perhaps you can paddle over to the Shipwright Arms or the Ferry Boat Inn, or find a hidden beach to call your own. If you wish to holiday with extended family or friends there is a lovely cottage only 100 yards away, White Cottage (4119).

Whether you choose to stay in the cottage, or explore from this lovely location, you will just want to keep coming back time and time again.
