The very stylish interior combines vintage features and luxurious furnishings, with a wood-burner for cooler evenings when you can watch the flames crackle and glow with a glass of something delicious; the open plan sitting/dining/kitchen area creates a very sociable space.

A short walk will take you to the quay and old town where there are some fabulous places to eat and watch the world go by; the elegant Georgian market town of Lymington has a vibrant atmosphere.

The nearby New Forest National Park offers beauty all year round, with ancient woodland, open heath, roaming ponies, cattle and miles to explore on foot or by bicycle.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction hob and all that you need to create a romantic supper or a delicious lunch to enjoy in the garden. The shower-room is downstairs with a double shower and drench head, perfect if you come in with wet sailing gear or sandy from a trip to the beach. Nearby farm shops have an array of local produce, if you feel like firing up the barbecue. Superfast broadband throughout the cottage allows you to keep in touch if you need to and you can even bring your dog on holiday with you but please respect the house rules.

There is so much to explore without travelling far; have an indulgent SenSpa day at Carey’s Manor Hotel in Brockenhurst or take the ferry for a day trip to visit the Isle of Wight. Hire a bike and have a lazy tour between New Forest pubs and tea shops or strike out with a map and get muddy. Within a ten minute walk you will find an array of dog-friendly pubs that serve good food.

If you are lucky enough to be in Lymington during Cowes Week or when the Round the Island Race is held in September, you will get caught up in the excitement that comes with highly competitive sailing. If you prefer to laze on the beach there are plenty within easy driving distance.
