Converted from an original farm building, this 18th Century cob cottage retains many traditional features with lots of wood, beams, stonework, sloping ceilings (please mind your head) and very thick walls. For those who love the great outdoors, you’re in for a real treat, so don’t forget to pack your surfboards, fishing nets, buckets, spades and walking boots because they could all come in handy. Oh and, if you have one, your four-legged friend because they’ll love it too.
The lane behind the cottage takes you to the stunning golden sands of Sandymouth Bay, popular with surfers and rock pool enthusiasts alike, with Duckpool, Northcott Mouth, Crooklets and Summerleaze just some of the many other beaches really close by.
Along the coast, the towns of Bude, Boscastle and Port Isaac are well worth a visit and, if you love Arthurian legend, why not stop off at Tintagel Castle. Walkers can explore the 20 acres of nature conservation at Kilkhampton Common along with the network of footpaths that lead direct from the door.
Or you may want to take a very short stroll to the heart of the village where you can stock up on all your provisions from a selection of shops, enjoy scrummy pub food and local ales at two village pubs or maybe grab a takeaway and bring it back to enjoy in Bluebell’s sunny courtyard – well, do you really want to cook when you’re on holiday?!
