Winwood

4236 - New

Falmouth / Sleeps 8 + cot

7 Nights from £914 - £2100

Winwood is a spacious and beautiful home nestled in a private garden and just a short walk from the centre of Falmouth and two stunning beaches. The owners recently refurbished this property with heart and soul, making it a wonderful place to spend your holiday.

Open the purple front door into the large entrance hall, drop your bags and enjoy the space this fabulous house has to offer. Throughout the house there are double doors that open to bring the outside in and which look out into the sub-tropical garden. The large sitting-room has comfortable sofas to sink into with a good book or discuss the day's activities. There is also a fabulous dining-table for group meals or perhaps a game or two; the house offers plenty of room for everyone to relax and is perfect for friends and family alike. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need with a breakfast table for more informal meals and an island where you can chat to the nominated chef over a glass of wine. Through the kitchen there is the conservatory, the ideal spot to escape for a bit of peace and quiet should you need it.

The bedrooms are all light and airy and some have glimpses of the sea through the treetops. The master bedroom has a south east facing balcony with wonderful sea views where you can sit with your morning coffee watching the sun come up. The family bathroom is on the first floor with a fabulous walk-in shower to soak yourself under.

The house is set amongst a private plot of a third of an acre; the sheltered garden has a plethora of sub-tropical plants and on a sunny day you could almost be in the south of France. The back garden hides away the washing line – perfect for drying those beach items in readiness for the following day – and all this outside space makes it ideal for a game of hide and seek.

Enjoy a gentle stroll to the lifeguarded Blue Flag Gyllyngvase beach, where there is the great beach cafe serving delicious meals, along with a bakery and a beach shop selling yummy ice-cream. Paddle boards, for exploring the coast, can also be hired here. Swanpool Beach is also only a short walk away with plenty of watersports on offer or why not explore the rock pools at low tide – ideal for keeping the little ones entertained.

The bustling centre of Falmouth is only a 15 minute walk from the house, with many fabulous restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops all waiting to tempt you. You can explore the waters of the Carrick Roads on a ferry or wildlife tour and hopefully see dolphins – what a fabulous holiday memory to take away with you! The South West Coast Path is close to the house where you can explore the banks of the Helford River.
