Kear Cottage is an absolute peach! Located less than six miles from the stunning beaches and fishing villages on the north Cornish coast, it sits in the most idyllic setting opposite the village green and church in the peaceful hamlet of Michaelstow, in the heart of the Cornish countryside.

Lovingly and impeccably presented, the interiors cleverly blend chic furnishings, restful tones and relaxed elegance with exposed beams, flagstones floors and a toasty wood-burner; providing top notch accommodation packed with style and character.

With a sunny patio for al fresco dining and a walled lawned area for outdoor games – this is the perfect escape for cosy winter weekends away or lazy summer days exploring the coast.

This charming period cottage will make you feel at home from the minute you step inside. Many a sociable hour will be spent in the welcoming kitchen/dining-room, with its bespoke fitted kitchen, granite work surfaces, vintage-style dining-table and local artwork on the walls, and snuggle up in the sitting-room with a good book or to watch a holiday film together on the gorgeous sofas flanking the wood-burner. Climb the cottage stairs to the family bathroom and the three beautiful bedrooms with super-comfy Cornish Company beds adorned with luxury linens, soft throws and plump cushions that will ensure a good night's sleep.

Pack up the car and head out for days full of fun and adventures from this special part of Cornwall. With good old fashioned beach days at Daymer Bay, surfing and water sports at popular Polzeath and breathtaking coastal scenery to discover at Trebarwith Strand. Browse the shops and galleries along the narrow streets of picture perfect Port Isaac and you might catch the 'Fisherman's Friends' singing on the quay during the summer.

The wide open spaces of Bodmin Moor will entice ramblers to explore the rugged landscape, or why not resort to pedal power and take the whole family on a bike ride along the renowned Camel Trail.

If dining out is on the agenda you'll be spoilt for choice; hop on the passenger ferry from Rock over to Padstow and sample one of Rick Stein's eateries, be tempted by the culinary delights of award-winning Nathan Outlaw or the local foodie pubs at St Tudy and St Kew will not disappoint.
