Orchard Barn is a welcoming single-storey conversion nestled sweetly in the sleepy village of Thurloxton and just a stone's throw away from the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With 9,500 acres of picturesque moorland, deep wooded valleys and panoramic views, it is the perfect retreat to the countryside.

This lovely property offers an open plan living area that provides a sociable and welcoming feel, with the French windows opening out onto your private and fully enclosed garden, where children and dogs can enjoy the fresh air safely while you relax on the patio area with a glass of fizz. Orchard Barn is found on the edge of the grounds of Thurloxton Manor, so if you feel like venturing outside the garden area, you will find there to be a beautiful orchard next to you where you will take delight in the bright daffodils in the spring and the crunchy apples in the autumn (please help yourself to as many apples as you like). Deeper in the grounds, that you are encouraged to explore, you will find a tennis court, where children and adults alike can enjoy a friendly game or two. If you want to lace up your boots and head out for a walk from the front door, then there is plenty of space to enjoy, including meadows and woodland that belong to the owners.

After a long day, the main bedroom offers a luxurious king-size bed that provides the perfect place to rest. Both bedrooms have soft linen to cosy into. It is the perfect home-from-home with all the facilities that you could need during your stay. The electric panel heating will ensure a lovely snug cottage for those out-of-season breaks.

The owners' friendly help is at hand should you ever need it but you are assured of your privacy during your stay. Their manor is out of sight to the barn and you even have a separate access, beyond a wonderful copse of ancient trees, so that you can have the best of both worlds.

Should you find yourself looking for something to do, why not take a trip to Kilve Beach, sitting halfway between Minehead and Bridgwater; it is the perfect place for a family picnic. As a Site of Special Scientific Interest, the beach is also home to lots of fossils to hunt for during your stay. Closer to home is Hestercombe Gardens, offering 40 acres of natural beauty including streams, temples, woodlands, and terraces. After a full day of activities, why not head to the Monkton Inn, a friendly village pub just a mile and half away.

The setting here is ideal for two families on holiday together, as Oak Tree Barn (3288), sleeping four, is close enough for you all to enjoy each other's company but is still set well apart, so that they do not overlook each other. With their own secluded gardens, privacy is ensured when booked separately.
