The views from this pretty, semi-detached cottage across to St Michael's Mount and the Atlantic Ocean, are simply magnificent. The 'Mount' majestically dominates the bay at Marazion, deservedly one of Cornwall's most popular locations, and The China Dolls House is set on the original coast road into this ancient seaside town.

With it's own gated parking-area and a raised garden, approached by a short flight of steep steps, the garden is the perfect place for an al fresco meal whilst enjoying the sea views.

The property has recently been reconfigured and improved by the current owner and now offers reverse level living with a newly fitted kitchen with bamboo worktops and open plan living-room overlooking the bay on the first floor. From here you can enjoy the vista whatever the weather. The WiFi is superfast and the Smart TV will give hours of entertainment if you can manage to ignore the fabulous sea view.

Downstairs are three bedrooms, bedroom one with a king-size bed and en suite bathroom, bedroom two with a dinky petite en suite shower-room and a third single bedroom. There is also a shower-room with a huge modern shower, perfect for when you return to this gorgeous cottage after a day on the beach.

From The China Dolls House the heart of the town is within easy walking distance. Guests will relish its interesting art galleries, pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as glorious golden sands and, of course, a walk across the tidal causeway to St Michael's Mount' itself. Seasonal tickets can be purchased in advance for the castle and gardens. A jolly ferry boat runs when the tide is high.

A stroll along the promenade to Penzance will take around thirty minutes and here you can enjoy an interesting mix of eclectic shops and many local cafes and restaurants as well as the iconic Jubilee Pool, an art deco outdoor pool with fabulous views and warmed by geothermal springs. The fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole are further along the coast, gorgeous and unspoilt so don't forget your camera for many photo opportunities.

St Ives is renowned for its turquoise waters and effervescent light. Surfers should head for Porthmeor beach to catch the Atlantic rollers and swimmers to the calmer waters of Porthminster. Explore pretty cobbled streets, a myriad of galleries and the iconic Tate Gallery with an interesting collection of artworks and a cafe with the most fabulous views of the bay.
