Practically a stone's throw from the Coast to Coast cycle tramway and only a few minutes' drive from several spectacular sandy beaches, Kernel's Barn is set back from the road between Portreath and Porthtowan. The owners (and their friendly dogs Lucy and Betty) live in the farmhouse nearby, and keep various animals on their smallholding including ducks and chickens.

This delightful detached, single-storey retreat, a beautifully renovated former stable named after a pet Shetland pony, is ideal for a couple or small family. A shared lockable store shed at the front of the barn is ideal for the storage of bikes and beach gear. A welcoming wood-burner and central heating ensure the cottage is warm and cosy all year round.

On the other side of the driveway is a private patio, perfect for relaxing outdoors, and a south-facing meadow garden shared with the cottage next door. Whether looking for an active holiday walking and cycling the days away, or a more relaxing break wave watching and reading a book, a holiday at Kernel's Barn can offer you all of this and more.
