TwinAs you turn off the Atlantic Highway, down towards the coast and into the unspoilt hamlet of Treligga, you will just know that you are going to have a most wonderful holiday.
With sea views to be enjoyed from the garden and main bedroom, semi-detached Court Cottage nestles in the middle of this peaceful hamlet and is the perfect Cornish cottage, complete with window shutters and a sheltered slate patio overlooking the enclosed front garden, the ideal spot to enjoy a morning coffee, brewed courtesy of the Nespresso machine.
Inside, slate and wooden floors complement the mix of painted furniture and seaside themed pictures, and the open plan sitting-room with a striking wood-burner makes this the perfect retreat for those winter escapes. From the sitting-room, a step leads down to the galley kitchen which overlooks the patio and on the ground floor you will also find the pretty cottage bathroom. Up the cottage stairs, they are a little steep, and the bedrooms divide off from the landing, the master bedroom furnished with a beautiful metal bedstead.
From the cottage, a short walk across open fields leads down to the South West Coast Path, with endless miles of stunning vistas awaiting you around every corner, or discover one of Cornwall's relatively unknown beaches by taking the path down over the cliffs to Tregardock Beach – great for surfers and rock pool enthusiasts alike.
For more terrific beaches, the surfers paradise of Polzeath and family favourite Daymer Bay are close at hand and picture perfect Port Isaac and trendy Padstow offer ample opportunity to recharge your batteries at one of many eateries, some with celebrity chefs at the helm, browse around the shops and galleries or simply take things a little easy and watch the boats come and go in the harbour. One small well-behaved dog is welcome at Court Cottage.
