Lost and Found is ideal for those seeking rest and tranquility. Surrounded by the Greenway Estate, it sits at the head of a wooded valley 300 feet above the River Dart. This beautiful cottage is only a short distance away from Greenway House. Now run by the National Trust and open to the public, it was said to be 'the loveliest place in the world' by the former Owner, Agatha Christie.

You will be spoilt for choice with the many walks leading directly from this charming, beautifully decorated Edwardian mid-terrace cottage, reached by a private lane and with several steps down to the entrance. The pretty cottage garden, perfect for relaxing, has a patio-area with lovely views across the valley.

The lane that leads to Lost and Found is on the Dart Valley Trail, so why not cross the river by foot ferry for lunch in Dittisham? Alternatively, visit Dartmouth restaurants by steam train or by ferry along the beautiful River Dart.

Something the owners recommend is a Round Robin bus/train/rail ticket, which is a great way to explore south Devon; it starts and ends in Torquay. You will visit the quaint towns of Paignton, Dartmouth and Totnes travelling on a steam train (30 minutes), a river boat (90 minutes) and a bus (30 minutes). Sit back and enjoy the scenery. This award-winning ticket is a favourite with both young and old. A commentary is also provided.
