This exceptional, purpose-built property is an absolute treat, a family-sized holiday home moments from the Blue Flag sandy beach at Westward Ho! on the north Devon coast. Outside there is a fully enclosed, secure garden to the front and a completely private courtyard garden with a summer-house that cleverly doubles as the utility-room at the back.

The house has BT Infinity 2 WiFi (Superfast broadband) and this runs all of the Smart TVs (there is a TV in both double bedrooms and in the open plan living space, upstairs). If you or your family decide to bring along your electronic devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod, laptop etc), the broadband is able to handle all devices to run at the same time. A quiet life for all… and if the weather is not too desirable for outside activities and you would like to relax 'off-line', there is a good selection of board games and some fictional reading books to select from.

There is a travel cot with blankets available, along with a changing mat, baby bath, high chair and two travel stair-gates. If you require any of these items, please do not hesitate to let us know so they can be made available and set up in preparation for your stay.

Dogs are most welcome at The Willows. A secure, gated and walled outside space encloses the property, to ensure that your dogs are kept safe and secure. The location offers some of the best dog walks you could ever want or find… beach, coastal path, dunes, burrows are all options to consider within a few minutes' walk from the house. There is also information on dog walking on other beaches in the area. Dog bowls are available for food and water and an outside utility/summer-house can be used to tend to your dog after any walk, however dirty you or the dog may be!

Your 'welcome hamper' will contain a range of products and you will receive a selection from such indulgences as: prosecco; luxury biscuits; milk; strawberry jam; West Country butter; home-made fruit scones; West Country clotted cream; those all-important little luxuries.

Westward Ho! is an excellent family destination with great expanses of sand and rock pools to explore at low tide. The beach is a firm favourite for kite flying and surfing, the coastal path will take you around the headland to the historic fishing villages of Clovelly and Bucks Mills and there is a large section of the beach beyond The Burrows (with a very good golf course), which is dog-friendly all year round. The beach is just a short stroll from The Willows – it is literally just at the end of the road.

In the heart of Westward Ho! you will find all the shops that you will need, some great cafes, pubs and places to eat, gift shops where children can spend their holiday pocket money, a long promenade and a seafront park to enjoy. Northam Burrows Country Park is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; it is north of Westward Ho! at the estuary where the rivers Taw and Torridge meet. There is a magnificent stretch of grassland, salt-marsh and dunes at the mouth of the estuary, giving walkers, ramblers and naturalists the opportunity to enjoy and explore this area of north Devon, all year round!

Westward Ho! is a great place to be without a car, with excellent walking from the doorstep, a great local bus service and the nearest rail station just ten miles away at Barnstaple.
