If you are seeking a bolthole in this historic town, Gregs Cottage has the credentials. A traditionally styled mews town cottage that offers comfortable and welcoming accommodation for two. The standard kitchen/diner is located on the ground floor along with the sitting-room. French doors lead out to the pretty enclosed terrace, a perfect spot to relax with a morning coffee or an evening aperitif. The first floor has a dressing-room, bedroom with king-size double bed and wet-room. Outside there is a small storage space for bikes or surfboards.

Close to Morrab Gardens, Gregs Cottage is located off a pedestrian lane and has a private car parking space just 200 yards away, why not leave the car parked for the duration and make use of the excellent transport services - either bus or train handily nearby.

Penlee House Gallery and Museum, Newlyn Art Gallery and the majestic St Michael's Mount are all worth a visit locally, and do sample the Cornish Fayre on offer at the local cafes, inns and restaurants around the town.

Should you decide to venture further, there is much to see and do. Explore majestic cliffs, scenic coves of crystal blue waters and sandy white beaches. View moors covered in heather and gorse and visit Bronze Age settlements or Cornish Heritage tin mining sites all of which form part of the landscape around this spectacular area of West Cornwall. The caves and coves around Pen Sans (from the ancient Cornish language) are steeped in smuggling and ship wrecking history and probably inspired Messrs Gilbert and Sullivan to pen "The Pirates of Penzance".

Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens near Gulvul, Trereife Manor House and gardens near Penzance and Godolphin House, a National Trust house with a medieval garden, are gems worth visiting, as is The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno. With an abundance of watersports available including wind surfing, canoeing and sailing, or simply a dip in the sea at Marazion, there is much to do and plenty to re-visit if you run out of time.
