Star-gaze from the purpose-made deck or wood-fired hot tub, listen to the dawn chorus or simply chill out and enjoy the glorious views, over the orchard and woodland below, until your heart's content.
Thoughtfully designed and curated to reflect its heritage, Foxy Shepherd's Hut has been simply but tastefully furnished with your utmost comfort and enjoyment in-mind. The compact but well-equipped galley kitchen includes a two-ring ceramic hob, microwave, toaster and small fridge (with ice-box - ideal for those G&Ts!). There is also a small dining-area with a genuine retro radio, collection of books (relevant to this special hideaway) and intriguing original artefacts.
The double bed - with memory coil mattress for added comfort - provides an idyllic place to rest your head, and even has room to store small suitcases underneath (there's also a handy built-in single wardrobe and cupboard for your use). In true luxury glamping style, there is, of course, a small but perfectly formed en suite shower-room too (please take care with the low doorway and ceiling), complete with automatic lights!
French doors lead out to a small veranda and, from there, steps lead down to the large raised deck, with a rustic dining area and flock of quirky carved wooden sheep. There's also a small table and chairs, which can be moved to your preferred spot, and additional seating, along with a cast iron fire-pit barbecue, in the orchard (private to you and home to an ancient species of Cornish cider apple trees) - great for dining al fresco whilst taking in the blissful surroundings. If you don't fancy cooking (you are on holiday, after all!) the friendly local pub - The White Hart - is within walking distance.
You are more than welcome to explore the large garden - complete with magical woodland walks, an absolute haven for wildlife (please watch out for badger holes!) and featuring a wealth of rare and exotic plants alongside granite megaliths, standing stones, sun loungers and lots of little ponds - and make use of the on-site utility-room with washing machine and small freezer (shared with guests at the lovely owners' other properties - all are set apart and private from each other).
