If you were looking for cottages like The Sea Captain's House, how about trying these:

A sophisticated Georgian residence with a stylish yet homely mix of modern luxuries and classic elegance is set in the heart of Falmouth. The water's edge is just over 200 yards from your front door and the beach is a short stroll away; what more can you ask for? Once a sea captains house, Captain Cook would have loved to have stayed here!

There is plenty on offer from The Sea Captain's House and you can enjoy a car-free holiday. This house offers wonderful accommodation for your holiday, sit in front of the open fire on one of the comfortable sofas in the fabulous sitting-room and take in the restful ambience. You can eat in style in the separate dining-room, which also has a quiet corner where you can relax and cosy up with a good book.

The kitchen is perfect for all your needs with a SMEG fridge, range cooker, the essential coffee machine and large larder cupboard, it will be a pleasure to prepare meals there although if you fancy some lovely meals out, Falmouth has so much on offer that you will be spoilt for choice. The kitchen opens through to the utility-room, which is very handy for muddy boots or wetsuits and leads to the extremely private, enclosed garden.

Upstairs you will find three gorgeous bedrooms and two excellent bath/shower rooms, all with large windows where the natural light floods in. The master bedroom boasts dual-aspect windows where you can sit in bed or an armchair with your morning coffee catching sight of the boats that come and go. The second bedroom, even larger than the first, has a charming outlook over the garden and the higgledy piggledy rooftops towards the other side of the estuary; it has 'zip and link' beds which bring flexibility to the property, and the bunk bedroom is ideal for little ones. There is a spacious and beautifully refurbished bathroom with cast iron bath tub and separate large shower cubicle which, after a day on the beach or walking the coastal paths is the perfect place to pamper oneself with a long soak in the bath and a well deserved glass of wine.

The garden at The Sea Captain's House is a real sun-trap, with sun loungers to stretch out on during the long summer days and plenty of space for outside dining at the large table and chairs, and perhaps a game or two on the lawn. The side gate opens from the path next to the house which is very handy after a day on the beach or perhaps stomping on the coast path.
