Just a couple of miles from sandy Porthtowan beach on the glorious north Cornish coast, Strawberry Fields is the perfect place for fun family holidays and friends' gatherings. All on one level, this long, single storey, modern house offers plenty of space both inside and out. South-facing and full of light, Strawberry Fields has a fully equipped kitchen/dining-room and a big sitting-room with a wood-burner and patio doors out to the garden. There are four bedrooms (one with en suite shower-room), a family bathroom and an additional shower in the utility-room. Set in a large plot with flat lawns for outdoor games, there is a modern open three-bay barn with table-tennis, and a paddock where two family ponies and pet sheep often graze. A summer-house faces out over the lawn, catching the evening sun as it slowly sets over the coast, a great place for an early evening G&T. There are coastal and woodland walks from the door, and surfing lessons on offer at the beach. Porthtowan is a Blue Flag beach with lifeguards on duty from Easter to the end of October. Whether it's rock-pooling, sunbathing, sandcastle-building or surfing, this is the ideal spot to do it. Found on a quiet lane just outside the village of Mount Hawke, there are two village shops and an award-winning gastro pub within walking distance. The thriving coastal village of St Agnes is a couple of miles away, with plenty of shops, galleries, pubs and eating places to explore.
