Eastnor

There's a second more traditionally-styled sitting-room at the front of Eastnor, where the glow of the wood-burner will be a welcome sight on those out-of-season breaks and you can enjoy a hand of cards or play some traditional board games in the snug. The two bedrooms in the new extension are stunning, both have super swanky en suites including digital, wireless controlled showers no less, and one with a lovely Juliet balcony overlooking the garden. Three other bedrooms are on the first floor of the older part of the house, all with glimpses of the sea, one with a stylish en suite and the other two sharing the equally stylish family bathroom, so they don't miss out. The final bedroom is on the ground floor where there is also a further shower-room - so plenty of bathing facilities for everyone and flexible sleeping accommodation for all (Eastnor only accommodates ten guests using five bedrooms).

Things continue to delight outside. The fabulous outdoor kitchen will add a whole new dimension to your holiday, and you are free to use this from dawn until dusk. If you'd like some expert tuition on holiday, then try Manna from Devon Cooking School, run by delightful Holly and David who offer tailormade courses on the outdoor wood fired oven. Take a look at their website and book well in advance as these courses are very popular! The large garden has a sunny decking area and for those with a competitive edge the games-room will entertain. There's even an outside shower for rinsing off sandy wetsuits and sandy bodies after a morning dip or day on the beach, well this is coastal living!

Polzeath village has a wonderful relaxed atmosphere and offers a selection of shops, galleries and a great choice of food from good old Cornish pasties to the very best in seafood. There are endless coastal walks to explore right on your doorstep so don't forget those walking boots. A short drive up the coast will take you to 'Doc Martin' country, that is Port Isaac, a picture perfect fishing village packed full of Cornish charm. Nearby Wadebridge is a vibrant market town where you can hire bikes and hit the Camel Trail, heading in one direction to the moors and the other along the banks of the Camel Estuary to trendy Padstow, home to the acclaimed eateries of Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. Closer to home, Daymer Bay offers plenty of fishing, rock-pooling and swimming in more sheltered waters and water sports enthusiasts will find sailing, water-skiing, paddle boarding, wake boarding at nearby Rock.
