This gorgeous cottage, set in the breathtaking location of St Lawrence, has a large patio and unrivalled sea views. A truly magical place to sit and enjoy the scenery, the seaward facing conservatory means you can still take advantage of the view if the sun just happens not to be shining. Enjoy a good book and sip your glass of wine in ultimate comfort. There is a large table and chairs with a parasol for dining al fresco, plus a gas-fired barbecue.

St Lawrence is positioned on the southern side of the Isle of Wight and just to the west of Ventnor. Over recent years Ventnor has become renowned for its differing choice of eateries for all, why not sample a different cuisine on each day of your holiday? The Cascade Road winds its way down to Ventnor seafront, the bay is a mixture of shingle and sand with a resident beach hut offering deck chairs to hire. At one end of the bay is a short fishing pier used by the local fishermen, you can purchase this freshly caught fish.

St Lawrence is also within a short drive from the glorious sandy west coast beaches of Brook and Compton, and the popular south coast resort of Shanklin.

The Shute has recently been completely refurbished by the owners who live adjacent. The whole property is spacious and decorated to a very high standard. The kitchen/dining-room is well laid out with a utility-room leading off it. Most of the rooms downstairs and up benefit from The Shute's amazing position with panoramic sea views. The sitting-room has a wood-burner making it ideal for a holiday all year round. The conservatory leads from the sitting-room and has double doors opening out to the patio.

There are three bedrooms on the first floor, a twin and two doubles. One of the doubles has an en suite bathroom with a fitted shower, and there is also a family bathroom with a roll-top bath. All three bedrooms are a good size, beautifully decorated and have plenty of space for the whole family to spread out.

There is a large lawned area for guests to enjoy, a few steps down from the patio. The owners are keen gardeners and the garden is a delight with a huge variety of plants, many of which specifically thrive in the unique microclimate enjoyed in this southern tip of the Island. With a climbing frame in the garden, the younger ones will truly enjoy being outside.

There is private parking for two cars to the front of the cottage, including a smart charger for an electric car if required.
