One of just three properties created from what was originally an old antiques emporium, this lovely house has been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. The ground floor rooms flow easily one from another and you will enjoy the thoughtful extras such as the music centre, card-table, books, games and toys.
Upstairs the three generous-sized bedrooms open onto a wide landing. Both the double bedrooms have luxurious king-sized beds, the main bedroom has a double-height beamed ceiling and a large en suite bathroom, and the second double bedroom is equally spacious. This is a lovely part of east Devon, close to the Dorset border with Lyme Regis just seven miles away. Colyton is situated in the Axe Valley and as the River Axe widens to meet the sea, there is a fabulous wild bird reserve. You can enjoy a special vantage point of the reserve, the river and the water meadows by taking the classic tram ride from Colyton to Seaton on the coast.
Nearby is the market town of Axminster where you can visit the River Cottage Canteen. Honiton is also well worth a visit, with some lovely cafes to rest your feet after browsing in all the antiques shops for which it is famous. The popular coastal villages of Beer and Branscombe are also close by.
