A secluded single-storey cottage, Maryland is approached by a lane passing the owners’ house and stands alone in a mature, gently sloping woodland garden where the shrubs and trees merge seamlessly with the surrounding countryside. The coastal path meanders along the cliffs and bays making this area ideal for walkers.
The hamlet of Porthallow has a thriving hotel offering both brasserie and fine dining menus, and two beach cafes providing traditional seaside fare and evening barbecues operate during the summer season.
Maryland offers a wonderful base from which to explore both near and far with the peaceful seclusion of its location ensuring restful relaxation when staying in.
From the parking-area (up a short steep drive) a level path and two shallow steps lead to an open porch. Inside, the sitting-room has a wood-burner, perfect for out-of-season breaks, and patio doors to the garden. In the spacious kitchen/dining-room the table is by the window, offering captivating scenes of the ever-changing sky and sea.
