If you were looking for cottages like Curlew Shepherd's Hut, how about trying these:

Welcome to your little piece of heaven on earth. Tucked away at the end of a wooded track, in the corner of a large open meadow with views out across the Camel Estuary that will take your breath away - Curlew Shepherd's Hut is simply sublime. Located within 40 beautiful acres of private grounds that lead down to the water's edge on the peaceful Dinham Estate, this idyllic retreat will delight romantic couples looking for the ultimate 'far from the madding crowd' experience, yet if you have the desire to throw yourself into the hustle and bustle of seaside life, the popular spots of Rock and Polzeath are a mere five-minute drive away.

From the minute you arrive you will be mesmerised by the fabulous setting and glorious views, and luckily you can soak them up all day long. From enjoying a leisurely breakfast on the decking, washed down with a glass of bucks fizz to toast your holiday, a lazy afternoon in the hot tub (oh yes there's also a hot tub!) or toasting marshmallows over the fire-pit with the sun setting in the distance. And why not take yourself into that view, with a ramble through the woods on the headland (it's quite magical), a stroll down to the water's edge with the tidal estuary creating an ever-changing scene or simply wandering around the meadows and grounds spotting the wildlife that make this haven their home - well who can blame them!

To complement the setting, this carefully crafted wooden hut provides a little bit of luxury of its own. French doors, that lead out to the decking area, perfectly frame the view and provide the ideal vantage point during the autumn to watch the Curlews in the field (hence the name). There's all the mod-cons you need in the hand-built kitchen with a fridge, two-ring hob and cooker and, of course, there's a stylish en suite shower-room with plenty of hot water and a proper flushing toilet - we don't expect you to rough it you know! There's no TV or WiFi, so you are in for a digital detox and can spend the time viewing the delights on offer all around you. It's super cosy thanks to the warming wood-burning stove, making this an ideal retreat all year round and, with the fire glowing in the background, take time to relax with a good book or playing a board game together around the table. When the games are over, slide the table away and pull down the double bed, topped with a proper mattress and luscious linens, and let the sounds of the countryside send you into a deep slumber.

Pop on those walking boots and discover more of the countryside along the footpath that leads right from your doorstep or venture out along the South West Coast Path and swap the estuary views for the dramatic seascapes of the Atlantic Coast. Fancy some fun messing about on the water? Rock is a haven for water-sports, with sailing and water-skiing for starters, along with restaurants, cafes and shops. Catch the foot ferry over to Padstow, home to Rick Stein's seafood restaurant and an even greater choice of fantastic restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries dotted along its harbour and winding streets. If you want to feel the sand between your toes or ride the waves, Polzeath is one of Britain's best surfing beaches or, for more gentler waters, Daymer Bay is just around the headland. Put your handicap to the test on the links course at St Enodoc, making sure you avoid the 'Himalaya' - the largest bunker in Europe, or perhaps a gentle stroll around the historic house and gardens at Pencarrow are the order of the day. There is so much to see and do in the area you will be spoilt for choice, but if you decide to spend all your time at Curlew Shepherd's Hut we can understand why.
