This is an ideal location for rest and relaxation between forays out to explore the gorgeous Cornish south coast. The owner lives next door and is immensely hospitable but carefully respects your privacy once you are settled in.
The Cottage at Polgorran has a large, comfortably furnished sitting-room with a wood-burner for warmth on chillier evenings and a window overlooking the private cottage garden which is abundantly planted and perfect for outdoor meals and drinks. The bathroom has both a bath and a shower cubicle so aching muscles can be soaked after long walks along the coastal footpaths nearby, where spectacular sunsets are often seen. Upstairs, the three bedrooms are decorated in true cottage-style, with ornate bedsteads and pretty linens.
The nearby fishing village of Mevagissey is a delightful jumble of fishermen's cottages, ancient pubs and quaint shops, and there are beautiful gardens at Caerhays Castle and Heligan a couple of miles away, with the inspirational Eden Project just a little further.
