DoubleA hop, skip and a jump from wonderful beaches, galleries and restaurants, Bay Tree Barn is a delightful semi-detached cottage in a small hamlet on the edge of dramatic moorland, just over two miles from St Ives. Located in a designated National Landscape, it provides the perfect base for exploring the coastal footpaths and surrounding countryside.
The accommodation is open plan with a partitioned bedroom-area, a wood-burner by the sofa, and a two ring hob and combination microwave oven in the kitchen. The lime-washed walls, oak floors, exposed beams and simple, contemporary rustic furnishings are all complemented by some wonderful paintings, reflecting the owners’ artistic flair.
There is also a pretty south-facing courtyard ideal for al fresco dining and the owners will provide a barbecue upon request.
You have reached an area full of historic ancient sites, excellent for walkers packing a picnic. Visit the beautiful village of Zennor with its 12th century church, take a pew on the mermaid's seat. Stop by the Tinners pub and listen to the folk music of the local fiddlers.
Some of prettiest villages so close by, St Ives and Mousehole with their sandy beaches and numerous galleries showcasing some of Cornwall's finest artists. Time the tide right at nearby Marazion, walk the causeway to St Michales Mount and enjoy a cream tea whilst there.
Head back to Bay Tree Barn and snuggle in the cosy cottage in front of the wood-burner or if the sun is shining on you, enjoy dinner al fresco in the pretty courtyard.
