Westlake House is the centre property and Westlake Barn is on the right.

Close to Exmoor, Bampton is a delightful destination for visitors to this unspoilt part of Devon. It is within an hour of both the north and south coasts and close to many National Trust properties and famous gardens. It is ideal for walking, riding, golf and fishing (in season). Located in a secluded valley, Westlake House and Westlake Barn are approached by their own driveway. They are both detached and quite separate with their own private patios. Each property enjoys magnificent views of the Owners’ land, a haven for wildlife. Guests are welcome to explore the twelve acres, which includes three lakes (some trout and coarse fishing on site) with streams and waterfalls (please take care with children). These properties have a private water supply, which is regularly tested. Alternative arrival/departure days can be offered, please ask our Booking Office.

Westlake Barn is a small, very pretty barn, which has been converted to a high standard. It has its own private patio, which enjoys lovely views over the lawns, lake and stream. Inside, the open plan living-room has a comfortable sitting-area at one end and a kitchen/dining-area at the other. From the hallway, with its downstairs cloakroom, an oak staircase leads upstairs to two bedrooms and a bathroom, each with oak floors and exposed, occasionally low, beams.
