Bembridge is an adorable town set on the east of the island. A friendly and welcoming place, Bembridge is great for a walk along the beaches in the day time and there are plenty of places to stop for dinner. We particularly like The Spinnaker. Alternatively, make the most of your self catering facilities by visiting the local butcher, who has a great reputation amongst the Isle of Wight locals. Then cook up a storm in the luxury of your own holiday cottage. Bembridge is perfect for dog lovers as the beaches are welcome to dogs all year round and many of the pubs are happy for you to bring in your furry friend while you enjoy a drink.
Bembridge is across the Harbour from Seaview and St Helen’s and just north from the sandy beaches of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor. For a day out, take a trip to Newport to explore Carisbrooke Castle or the Newport Roman Villa. If you’d rather stay closer to home, Brading also has a wonderful Roman Villa to explore. It’s all under cover so it makes for a perfect day out come rain or shine. On a sunny day, be sure to stop off at the infamous Isle of Wight Garlic Farm or take a stroll around Adgestone Vineyard before sampling their tasty offering.
