If you were looking for cottages like Tembo, how about trying these:

The perfect retreat for switching off and reconnecting as a family, Tembo (Swahili for 'Elephant') is just gorgeous. Your adventure begins as you turn down the long, unmade track to the pretty tree-lined meadow, where Tembo sits further back from his brother Twiga. On entering this eclectically-styled tent, you step straight into the spacious living area, complete with a comfy sofa to snuggle up on and dining table, ideal for tucking into a scrumptious meal at after a day of exploring.

With apple crate storage and chunky wooden work surfaces, the kitchen is very well-equipped including a Belfast sink (with cold running water), fridge with ice-box, electric kettle, toaster and two-ring camping gas stove. And there is, of course, the wood-fired range which doubles up as your cooking and heating appliance - for keeping toasty in the cooler months. The African-inspired colours of burnt orange and ochre are carried into the lovely bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with bunk beds, and there is also a double day bed in the living area - perfect for reading a book on during the day and complete with curtains to create a cosy bed at night. The large en suite shower-room is found at the back of the tent, with hot and cold running water, double shower cubicle, wash-basin and proper flushing loo.

Outside, many an hour can be whiled away whilst relaxing on the deck, overlooking the glamping site and countryside beyond. The Owners run a safari tour company so certainly know a thing or two about luxury glamping, which shines though in this stylish tent - from the reclaimed pallet walls and the scaffold board bed frames to the colourful rug.

So, what will you do with yourselves while you're here? You can roam around the meadow and adjoining lanes, walk to the Miners Arms in Mithian, cycle into St Agnes for a leisurely lunch or cream tea, or take your surf boards to the wonderful beaches at Perranporth, Trevaunance, Chapel Porth and Porthtowan, all fabulous for surf and sand and all lifeguarded from Easter to the end of October.

When you've done all that, why not sit back beside your fire pit, toast some marshmallows and admire the multitude of twinkling stars in the dark night sky? The owner can even offer yoga/mindfulness sessions for individuals or families and beauty treatments too (what better way to fully relax and embrace the holiday spirit!). Holiday bliss is to be found here at Wrinklers Wood.
