This friendly, welcoming village is a perfect base from which to discover the beautiful countryside of Bodmin Moor. Take off into the wilderness by foot, bike or horseback and you’ll find an incredible ancient landscape that has a distinctly primeval feel. In St Neot itself there are indulgent cream teas to be had in the tea rooms and good home cooking to be enjoyed in the village pub; The London Inn. There’s always something going on in St Neot, be it the Flower Festival, the carnival or Oak Apple Day, when the villagers celebrate the restoration of Charles II to the throne.

The Blisland Inn (3.6 miles)
CAMRA National Pub of the Year 2001. Always a minimum of 6 real ales to choose from, this is a traditional pub offering home cooked food and a good atmosphere. There have been almost 1,500 real ales served from this inn over the years, a trend which seems set to continue.

Bodmin (3.9 miles)
A busy old market town, Bodmin has some very interesting architecture, including the notorious Bodmin Jail.

Bodmin & Wenford Railway (3.9 miles)
The Bodmin & Wenford Railway is a Standard Gauge Railway that operates mainly steam locomotives in the Duchy of Cornwall. Enjoy a 13 mile round trip on this steeply graded line through the beautiful countryside. The Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway can be joined at Bodmin General Station and goes to Boscarn, Padstow on the Camel Trail. There are also provisions for bicycles on the train.
