Coombe Shute Cottage

If you were looking for cottages like Coombe Shute Cottage, how about trying these:

Tucked away down narrow lanes lies Stoke Gabriel, a traditional Devon village on the edge of the tidal River Dart (the photograph shows the river looking back to the village). End of terrace, on an uphill street 200 yards from the village centre, Coombe Shute Cottage is built into a hill facing southwards to the millpond and woods (although with no views of the river). Dating from the 1800s, this attractive cottage is spread over four floors, so unsuitable for young children. The sitting-room is on the ground floor and narrow stairs lead up to the kitchen/diner and cloakroom above. From this floor there is access via steep stone steps to the patio and small rear garden (there is a neighbour’s seldom-used right of way across the garden). More stairs lead to two bedrooms and yet another flight goes up to the luxurious bathroom right at the top of the house, which has a view of the millpond.
