Tucked away in the centre of Mullion yet within a mile of the beach, charming little Corlan Cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village shops and facilities are just beyond the private drive shared with the neighbouring Owner, who also owns The Old Chapel (1329) nearby. The original beams and stonework inside this converted old granite building have been carefully preserved; up in the eaves a minstrels’ gallery with a low sloping ceiling runs along two-thirds of the cottage, an intriguing ‘den’ accessed by a wall-ladder (please take care). The ground floor accommodation includes a cosy, tastefully decorated sitting/dining-room with a welcoming wood-burner, a bathroom, shower-room and two bedrooms. Though small, both are prettily furnished and overlook the front patio, the smaller twin room ideal for children. The compact but well-equipped kitchen leads out to the large enclosed back garden, perfect for children and dogs to play while the grown-ups relax and admire the view. Poldhu, Polurrian and Mullion Coves are nearby, and Mullion’s renowned links golf course and the Helford River are both just a short drive away.
