Tucked away in the centre of Mullion yet within a mile of the beach, this charming little cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village shops and facilities are just beyond the private drive which is shared with the neighbouring Owner, who also owns The Old Chapel (1329) nearby. Converted from an old granite building, Corlan’s original beams and stonework have been carefully preserved. Up in the eaves a minstrels’ gallery with a low sloping ceiling runs along two-thirds of the cottage, an intriguing ‘den’ which is accessed by a wall-ladder (please take care). The main accommodation, all on the ground floor, includes a welcoming wood-burner in the sitting-room and two cosy bedrooms overlooking the front patio, each with a bathroom or shower-room, the smaller twin room ideal for children. The compact but well-equipped kitchen has a stable-door to the enclosed back garden, a perfect spot for admiring the spectacular views. Poldhu, Polurrian and Mullion Coves are nearby and the Helford River is just a short drive away, as is Mullion’s renowned links golf course.
