Tucked away in the centre of Mullion yet within a mile of the beach, little Corlan Cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village shops and facilities are just beyond the private drive shared with the neighbouring Owner, who also owns The Old Chapel (1329) nearby. The original beams and stonework inside this converted old granite building have been carefully preserved; up in the eaves a minstrels’ gallery with a low sloping ceiling runs along two-thirds of the cottage, an intriguing ‘den’ accessed by a wall-ladder (please take care). The ground floor accommodation includes a cosy sitting/dining-room with wireless broadband access and a welcoming wood-burner. There are also a bathroom, shower-room and two bedrooms, which though small are prettily furnished, the smaller twin room ideal for children. The compact but well-equipped kitchen leads out to the large enclosed back garden, where children and dogs can play while the grown-ups relax and admire the view. Poldhu, Polurrian and Mullion Coves are nearby, with Mullion’s renowned links golf course and the Helford River both just a short drive away.
