This cosy little cottage is literally on the edge of Cadgwith’s shoreline, perched a few steps above the beach looking straight out to sea. Many an hour can be whiled away watching the waves gently lap the shore, or, in a rare easterly, pounding the cliffs nearby. The cottage is thought to have once been a fisherman’s net loft, and the building behind is still used for this purpose by the local fishermen. Next door is a similar cottage, your right of way crossing their patio; there is also a public footpath on the far side, but this is seldom used. In relative privacy, set slightly apart from the bustle of the beach and village, this delightful retreat is the perfect place to relax and absorb the sights and sounds around you. Inside, the living-room has broadband access and glass doors framing the superb view, with your own patio just outside. The compact kitchen is very well-equipped, and throughout the cottage are original prints by the Owner, a well-known artist. Cadgwith is a lively little village perfectly capturing the essence of Cornwall, with its local pub and excellent little restaurant just a short walk from the cottage. Please note there is a five minute uphill walk to the car park.
