DescriptionPorthleven has been a thriving fishing port for centuries and the busy harbour is still the focal point of village life. Many an hour can be whiled away watching the boats sail in and out, and there are two popular pubs, one each side of the harbour. A few steps along is Porthleven beach, and a little further still is the infamous Loe Bar and Pool with wonderful walks through the Penrose Estate. Fifteen minutes’ stroll from the harbour, Lamorna is a neat little 1970s bungalow set in a quiet residential cul-de-sac, with a surprisingly spacious enclosed garden where tubs of flowers and hanging baskets brighten the patio in summer. Inside, beyond the small but well-equipped kitchen are the comfortable bedrooms and the sitting/dining-room, with its cottage suite and big picture window overlooking the garden. From the back of the bungalow the sparkling sea is visible in the distance, the sunny patio outside perfect for simply sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the view.
