Tucked away in a small hamlet one and a half miles from the sandy beach of Marazion, there is no mistaking the origins of Old Bowjie, a bright and contemporary semi-detached barn conversion, with all the accommodation on one level. The ceiling in the kitchen/diner is vaulted with stripped beams, there is an exposed stone wall and slate is used extensively on the kitchen floor and window sills. The spacious sitting-room boasts a fine chimney-breast housing a wood-burner and a polished wooden floor with rugs to complement the black and beige decoration. Outside, a well-screened terrace has wooden decking and many pot plants. Besides a wide choice of beaches nearby, Penzance and St Ives offer a renowned choice of art galleries. St Michael’s Mount and fine walking on the Penwith moors are also within a short drive.
