Description

Close to the head of Bunnell Creek, a beautiful tree-lined estuary originating from the Helford River, this delightful, traditionally furnished former farmhouse is perfect for a truly relaxing holiday. Lying at the end of a well-maintained farm track in a gloriously peaceful setting, Bunnell Cottage is believed to date back to the 17th Century and retains several original features. French doors lead from the colourful cottage garden at the front directly into the sitting-room, with its beamed ceiling, large inglenook fireplace and welcoming wood-burner. Narrow stairs lead to the prettily decorated bedrooms and the bathroom. Beyond the well-equipped kitchen/diner a conservatory opens out onto the patio, ideal for al fresco meals and absorbing the tranquility of the beautiful garden before you. The Owner, who lives in a separate part of the house, is always happy to provide directions to the many beaches, picturesque fishing coves and the numerous other delights the Lizard peninsula has to offer. You may even be invited to share the very special ‘secret’ walk, which meanders through a wonderful woodland paradise where wildlife positively abounds.
