Creek Cottage

A gorgeous detached cottage tucked away on the side of a wooded creek on the north side of the Helford, home to herons and scores of little egrets as well as migrating curlews and oystercatchers. This light-filled cottage has a sociable open plan kitchen/dining-room and the three bedrooms provide excellent accommodation for families or group of friends. Please be aware due to the valley location there is very limited/no mobile phone signal.

The stylish kitchen is very well-equipped and the calming blue colour makes this the heart of the home with a large island for chatting over, prepping food or dancing around with tunes from the SONOS speakers. The open living space is light and warm with under-floor heating and a grand double-sided wood-burner between the dining-area and sitting-room that looks out over trees and you can sneak a glimpse of the creek from the comfort of the sofa or perch in the window seat with a steaming coffee.

Upstairs, three comfortable bedrooms offer wonderful views over the creek in this beautiful and tranquil location and the second bedroom has a Juliet balcony. Tucked away at the end of the house the spacious main bedroom has its own en suite shower-room with the second and third bedrooms sharing the family bathroom, for convenience there is also a cloakroom downstairs.

Pop across the lane and your private gate leads you down to the south-facing terrace and garden where you can enjoy uninterrupted views over this tidal creek. In the garden you will find seating for six, where you can sit and watch as the tides come in and out, and take time to observe and listen to the wonderful wildlife around you. There are further steps down to the creek edge which is perfect for explorers (please take care on the steps and supervise children by the river).
