The Lodge

4009 - New

Ryde / Sleeps 6 + 2 cots

7 Nights from £795 - £1500

This absolutely stunning property is laid over five mezzanine floors, has two sea-facing balconies and a hot tub with a sea view! Beautifully decorated throughout, The Lodge offers guests the perfect holiday escape on the Isle of Wight all year round. The stretch of sands at Appley and Ryde offer fantastic views across the Solent, with the landmark Spinnaker Tower forming an impressive backdrop to a busy shipping channel which carries an interesting array of freight, passenger and military ships. You can sit in your hot tub, with a glass of wine in your hand and watch the ships sail by, what more could you ask for? The beaches here offer miles and miles of sandy shores, the sand reaches so far out at low tide that Ryde Pier had to be built to enable boats to dock. Both the Fastcat and the Hovercraft dock here in Ryde, so arriving as foot passengers for your holiday adventure is easy, with just a short walk along the sea front to The Lodge. There are two sitting-rooms to choose from, the whole top floor is a more adult space with doors out onto the balcony and the lower ground floor can be the kids' room with a second television and plenty of games to keep them entertained. From this lower ground floor there are doors out to a patio-area and gated access takes you from the rear of the house straight onto a communal lawned area, an ideal place for the kids to play while you keep a close eye from the balcony. Just a few steps on and you reach the beach, the promenade stretches out in either direction into the town of Ryde or the village of Seaview in the other direction.

Within a stone’s throw from The Lodge, there is so much on offer for your holiday adventures. Directly opposite is Ryde Canoe Lake, with a children’s outdoor paddling pool and play area at one end, ideal for the younger ones to enjoy. A company called Goodleaf offers tree climbing activities in Appley Park, they welcome anyone from the ages of eight upwards and cater for all abilities. They promote enjoying the great outdoors in a unique way, and there are great views across the Solent from the treetops! Ryde town is a short stroll away with a wide range of cafes and restaurants to choose from, as well as many boutique shops for a bit of retail therapy. You can stroll along the promenade in the other direction towards the village of Seaview, passing several beach cafes where you can relax with an ice cream before you walk on. The beaches here are stunning, white sands and shallow waters make it a perfect place to swim and play beach games, or perhaps enjoy a beach barbecue on a lovely summer evening. Retreat to The Lodge at the end of a long day’s enjoyment and relax in your wonderful surroundings.
