Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the lovely beach at Kennack Sands just round the corner, this traditional stone cottage makes for a perfect holiday getaway for a family or group of friends. With its pretty established cottage garden to the front and plenty of charm, The Poplars is a delightfully comfortable and characterful cottage which has been sympathetically brought into the 21st Century with modern furnishings and equipment including WiFi, Sky TV and an Xbox too. The large granite inglenook fireplace in the sitting/dining-room is not only a wonderful feature of this sociable room, but the warming wood-burner inside it will keep your toes cosy on those winter days and nights when you can sit around the fire with your mug of cocoa remembering the fun you've had and the adventures you are going to have tomorrow.

Kennack Sands is very popular with surfers, particularly due to the frequent five foot waves it experiences, and it is known for its high water quality. Whether you like to relax on the sandy beach with a good book or dip your toes into the clear blue waters, this area really comes alive in summer when the two beach cafes are open serving ice creams and cream teas. For those wanting to be more active and get into the water, why not book yourself a surf lesson with the local surf school who will be happy to show you how it's done. For keen walkers you can join the coast path down by the beach and walk to nearby Cadgwith, a pretty seaside village where it feels like time has stood still. Pop into the friendly pub for some light refreshments and local hospitality before heading back home to the cottage, perhaps with a locally-caught lobster, some crab or fish to fry up for dinner - you never know what catch the fishermen will bring in each day, but you know it will certainly be fresh! The Lizard peninsula has so much to offer the visitor with beautiful coves at nearby Kynance, probably the most photographed and painted location in Cornwall, Lizard Point with the Lighthouse and Heritage Centre and then of course there is the Helford River, which is only a short drive away.
