Coast is a superb eco-house set in a fabulously tranquil location close to the marinas and beaches of maritime Falmouth. With three bedrooms and three bath or shower rooms, two sitting-rooms with Smart TVs, Netflix and unlimited WiFi and a private hot tub right outside, this is the ultimate holiday home.

Part of The Emerald, a unique award-winning eco development, Coast offers a holiday experience that cannot be rivalled. It has its own private hot tub outside, and shared access to an indoor heated swimming pool (you can book a 1.5 hour session per day, and the system is explained in the property), gym, and children's play-area plus five acres of paths, woodland and an ornamental lake, all available to explore and use. There is also a tennis court with all-level coaching available from an experienced national level player/coach (please book on-site on arrival). In addition, there is a dreamy new spa room offering CACI treatments which work to plump and tone the skin, as well as a bespoke massage service, both can be booked in advance of your stay.

Coast has level access into a wide hallway leading to a big open plan living-room with doors out to a paved terrace overlooking lawns and woodland. The fully equipped kitchen has all necessary appliances and equipment and the sitting-area has a Smart TV with Netflix and an iPod dock gives wireless access to your favourite music throughout the house.

There is a big utility-room, a ground floor cloakroom and the first bedroom with 'zip and link' orthopaedic beds with adjustable mattresses for the perfect night's sleep (not individually adjustable when made up as a super-king size bed) The en suite shower-room has a double-size walk-in drench-head shower, making this bedroom ideal for those with limited mobility.

A wide, light-filled staircase leads up to a second spacious sitting-area with a high ceiling, low hung lights, Smart TV and doors out to a large glass-sided balcony; this chill-out area is a fabulous additional space. With two further bedrooms (one en suite) and a family bathroom on this floor, there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax.

There are five acres of shared grounds in a corner of which a solar farm generates more than enough energy for all The Emerald's needs. There is also a useful Tesla charging point for electric cars at The Emerald (please bring your own adaptor for other makes). The owners politely ask that you state on arrival if you plan to take advantage of this service and to pay them via cash or bank transfer before departure.

This award-winning development is the only truly zero carbon holiday destination in the country having been awarded Code 6 status, the highest possible grading for eco efficiency. The hi-spec, super-insulated cedar-clad houses include Cedar (2824) and Fern (2825) – each with a private hot tub – accommodating two, and The Gatehouse (2826), a beautiful single-storey cottage accommodating four, set slightly apart from the others so offering more privacy.

The properties (with the exception of The Gatehouse) are all accessible for wheelchairs, with level thresholds, ground floor bedrooms and double-width walk-in showers.

Falmouth and Truro are 10 minutes away and the superb north coast surfing beaches just 10 minutes more.
