Kingston, a pretty Devon village, boasts an excellent pub and guests can walk to sandy Wonwell beach, or drive a short distance to Bigbury Bay. Larchfield, a bright and spacious modern detached house, is in the village’s centre. The comfortable sitting-room and the dining-room have wood-burners – the dining-room also features an oak spiral staircase leading up to a play-area, a single bedroom and study. There is also a more conventional staircase leading to two en suite double bedrooms and a bunk-room. A ground floor bedroom and bathroom are just right for older members of the party, although the house accommodates a maximum of eight guests. The kitchen is bright and contemporary. Outside is a secluded patio at the front of the house with a pretty water feature (take care with children), and at the back is a terraced garden, reached by a bridge from the first floor; there is a bit of a drop, so again, watch out with children. All in all, Larchfield is a great house for families or friends wanting to explore this charming area.
