Only a ten minute drive from the family-friendly beach at Praa Sands and within ten miles of famously picturesque St Ives, the village of Godolphin Cross is the perfect base from which to explore beautiful west Cornwall. Shopkeeper’s Cottage stands beside the road at the heart of the village only a short stroll from the local pub, and is one of three new terraced cottages built on the site where the old village stores once stood. The sheltered front entrance is inside the carport on one side, and on the other there is a small enclosed garden, with a little gravelled patio just outside the kitchen door. Attractively decorated, this comfortable, part reversed level cottage accommodates five guests only but has three double bedrooms to choose from, one on the ground floor. Also downstairs is the kitchen/dining-room, where stairs lead up to a galleried sitting-room, the bathroom and two further bedrooms, one with versatile ‘zip and link’ beds. With cosy central heating and lots to see and do for all ages in this lovely part of Cornwall, Shopkeeper’s Cottage is ideal for a family holiday in any season.
