Hornacott Cottage is gorgeous and you will be enchanted. Furnished with flair, a well-fitted kitchen leads to the sitting/dining-room which has a wood-burner and French windows looking out over a cobbled courtyard. Upstairs are the double bedroom (with a shower-room approached by three steps), a twin room and a bathroom. Attached to but entirely separate from the Owners’ main manor house, the cottage is very spacious. The approach is down an unmade drive (take care with low suspension vehicles), through the only neighbour’s garden and up to the cottage and manor. Surrounded by fields and woodland, including two wildlife ponds (take care with children), the walks are lovely. The private front patio catches the afternoon sun and there is a garden for guests’ sole use. With the north coast a short distance away, there is plenty of choice for an enjoyable day out. For serious walkers, Bodmin Moor is close by and Dartmoor is within easy reach. Please note the water is from a private supply (tested regularly).
