This beautifully presented house invites light to flood into the sociable central living space through double-height, dual aspect windows. There is a Blu-ray player and a large wood-burning stove to create atmosphere should there be a chilly summer evening – otherwise you will want to have the French windows wide open to make the most of the south-facing terrace, which runs along the whole width of the house. A sweeping staircase leads up to the first floor where the galleried landing houses a library and offers a peaceful place to sit and read with far reaching views out across the fabulous and extensive enclosed gardens. All the bedrooms are really spacious, and with a double bedroom and shower-room on the ground floor The Barn is ideal for guests with mobility problems. The kitchen is a cook’s dream and includes a superb double range cooker and there is a stylish dining-room for special meals if you are not eating al fresco. Tearing yourself away from this truly relaxing environment, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, the ancient Saxon Town of Wareham, Poole Harbour and Weymouth are all close by. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
