Description

This gorgeously unpretentious house at Treyarnon, by the sea on the north coast of Cornwall, ticks many boxes and guests are bound for a wonderful holiday just a short distance from Padstow. The Beach House’s setting is unique, tucked away at the end of a private drive overlooking the sand dunes, beach and the glorious Atlantic beyond. From the heated outdoor pool (available 1 May to 25 September) and hot tub (available 6 March to 25 September), there are views across open countryside and the bay below. For those guests who wish to run down to the beach every morning for a quick dip, a private sandy path leads down to Treyarnon’s shores (see middle photograph) and the coastal paths. Within, the house is divided over five floors, with understated furnishings combining old and new; lovely fabrics, wooden floors, keepsakes and nautical touches. Charmingly, this relaxing home has been designed to ensure views of the beach and sea from most of the rooms. The open plan living-room has floor to ceiling windows complete with balconies which allow guests to enjoy views of the sea or swimming pool. Slightly offset from the dining-area, the kitchen-area, although small, has a fabulous electric range and walk-in larder. The splendid master bedroom will certainly take your breath away as the high-vaulted ceilings, two balconies, cosy wood-burner and romantic bedstead provide an ideal retreat from the rest of the family. Just leave everyone else to fight over the remainder of the bedrooms and attractively styled bathrooms. For wet weather a PlayStation 3 is provided in the children’s television-room, complete with 30” screen, and there is a pool table and dartboard in the garage, which also houses a handful of boogie boards. This great holiday home offers a chance to really kick off those shoes and get some sand between your toes. Please be aware that with the balconies, hot tub and swimming pool, children of all ages must be supervised at all times. Please note the higher rent band applies from 14 July to 14 September. Please note that the changeover times are 5pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
