Lerryn is an idyllic village, nestling in a wooded valley with an ancient stone bridge crossing a gently flowing river, ducks sleeping on the village green, a welcoming pub and a village store serving scrumptious cream teas. Riverside walks often reveal herons, swan, kingfishers and egrets, and local farms sell scrumpy cider. Beside a little grassy knoll near the centre of the village sits Creekside, a quintessential Cornish cottage that has been sympathetically updated to provide all the comforts of modern life. A large kitchen/breakfast-room opens onto a sun-trap courtyard, also accessed from the south-facing dining-room, the ideal spot for relaxing meals. The main bedroom has an en suite shower-room with the other two bedrooms sharing the family bathroom. A lane opposite the cottage meanders along the riverside to stepping stones which cross the river to the village stores and local pub. The ancient stannary town of Lostwithiel is a few miles away, a treasure trove of antiques shops and old-fashioned tea-rooms. The beautiful sailing town of Fowey is close, and the Eden Project, a fantastic day out, is only a short drive away.
