St Gennys’ Cottages, formerly the Victorian school house and cottages, nestle beneath the ancient church of the same name. These gorgeous cottages shelter on the cliffside with views up towards Bude and over to Lundy Island, each with their own enclosed garden. For walkers, undulating cliff paths lead through unspoilt countryside and valleys in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, defined as part of the Heritage Coast and protected by the National Trust. The cliffs and beach of Crackington Haven are close by offering excellent cafes, pubs and quaint shops to tantalise your tastebuds. Surfers can enjoy the surf at many of the north coast beaches, whilst nearby are the bustling town of Bude and the sandy shores of Widemouth Bay.

Tucked between Lanes’ and smaller Francis’ and Bloomers’, The Old School House provides the ideal family holiday with a backdrop of peace. Thoughtfully renovated, this charming house retains many original features coupled with the benefits of a well-equipped kitchen/breakfast-room and slate-floored sitting-room with open fire. The Victorian staircase leads to a twin room and the master bedroom which boasts views across the gardens to the sea. The remaining bedrooms are on the second floor, where the twin bedroom undoubtedly has the best views!
