Description

Said to enjoy more sunshine hours than anywhere else in the country, Praa Sands is excellent for surfing and ideal for families, the village amenities all within walking distance and, for enthusiastic walkers, the spectacular coast path but a stone’s throw away. Your careful drive along the bumpy unmade private lane will be well rewarded when you reach Uplands, set on the quiet outskirts of the village overlooking the glorious golden beach below and breathtakingly beautiful Mount’s Bay beyond. Enjoying magnificent panoramic sea views from almost every room, south-facing Uplands is a spacious semi-detached house with a private footpath leading from the front garden down to the beach. Steep stone steps (please take care) lead from the lawn up to the house, patio and sunny conservatory – perfect for admiring the spectacular 180 degree sea views whatever the weather. In the kitchen/dining-room the table beside the window makes the most of the wonderful scenery, the Rayburn’s ambient warmth keeping the house cosy year-round. A staircase (beware the low beam!) leads from the comfortable sitting-room to the pretty bedrooms, two with stunning sea views. Please note, the very steep rear garden is fenced off and not for guests’ use.
