Stone steps from the pavement lead to the front door of this Grade II Listed terraced cottage; the Owner was the local coastguard for many years so it could not be more aptly-named. The cottage gazes seaward and guests can watch vessels of all sizes plying back and forth across Torbay. The open-air, saltwater Shoalstone swimming pool is a 50 yard walk from the gated back garden, which has a small fishpond (take care with children), as is the rocky beach. Alternatively, sit on the patio above the terraced garden and soak up the views. Inside is a kitchen with a breakfast bar and views out to sea, a step up into the sitting/dining-room (also with sea views) and patio doors out to the terrace (watch the step). As well as a children’s bunk bedroom, there is a cloakroom downstairs and upstairs are two pretty bedrooms and the bathroom. The marina and fishing harbour in the centre of Brixham is a walk away, and of course there is the whole of Torbay to explore, returning to this cosy cottage at the end of a busy day.
