Description

West Hartley is a charmingly converted, stone-built Devon farmstead that nestles peacefully in rolling countryside, slightly off the beaten track yet close to the heart of the South Hams. This region is well-known for its tree-lined rivers, sandy beaches and rocky coves. The town of Dartmouth, with its naval tradition and ever-changing river views, is a short drive away and has a wealth of interesting shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants. The area has much to offer; sailing, fishing, beaches and coastal paths, with both Dartmouth Golf and Country Club and Woodlands Leisure Park just over a mile away. West Hartley Hayloft is one of eight recently converted barns and the property is a delight. It has been tastefully developed, having a spacious open plan living-room with wooden floor, several exposed beams and a wood-burner effect stove. The bedrooms are on the lower ground floor and are built into the hillside, their windows overlooking the rear courtyard. The enclosed private lawned garden has two patio areas, ideal for guests to sit and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside after a busy day exploring this special corner of south Devon. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
