West Hartley is a converted, stone-built Devon farmstead that nestles peacefully in rolling countryside, slightly off the beaten track yet close to the heart of the South Hams. This region is well-known for its tree-lined rivers, sandy beaches and rocky coves. The town of Dartmouth, with its naval tradition, is a short drive away and has a wealth of interesting shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants. The area has much to offer; sailing, fishing, beaches and coastal paths, with both Dartmouth Golf and Country Club and Woodlands Family Theme Park just over a mile away. Greenway, the holiday home of Agatha Christie, can be readily accessed via passenger ferry from the nearby picturesque village of Dittisham. West Hartley Hayloft is one of a small group of converted barns and the property has been tastefully developed, having a spacious open plan living-room with wooden floor, several exposed beams and a wood-burner effect stove. The bedrooms are on the lower ground floor and are built into the hillside, their windows overlooking the rear landscaped courtyard. The enclosed lawned garden has two patio areas, ideal for guests to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
