With soft green woodwork and whitewashed walls the cottage overlooks its south-facing enclosed front garden, where disposable barbecues may be used on the patio at the far end (well away from the thatch!). Even the porch has its own little thatched roof; inside, the tastefully furnished oak-floored living-room has cream kitchen units with granite-effect worktops, a solid oak dining suite beside the ornamental stone fireplace where an iPod docking station sits on the mantelpiece, and two large sofas facing the stainless steel wood-burner. The study’s computer provides internet access, and wireless broadband for your own laptop is also available. A wooden cottage staircase leads to the bathroom with its unusual pebble-effect floor, and three pretty wood-floored bedrooms. Both double rooms, one en suite, overlook the garden, the view romantically framed by an eyebrow of thatch. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
