Description

The village of Broadhembury is a real picture postcard with thatched cottages lining the streets and a welcoming local pub serving good food. Opposite the cottage is the village playground and field along with a little stream (please supervise children) – perfect for occupying the kids while you cook dinner. Ashton, a charming semi-detached cottage, is quite delightful. Decorated in soft buttermilk throughout the decor and furnishings perfectly match this 18th Century cottage. There is a very attractive and comfortable sitting/dining-room, pretty bedrooms and a stylish kitchen/breakfast-room with a warming Rayburn (the main cooking appliance although a microwave with grill is provided). French doors lead out from the kitchen to the sunny, sheltered garden. Ashton is ideal for that perfect getaway, only a short drive from the Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis – why not try a bit of fossil hunting? Alternatively there are lovely beaches at Beer and Exmouth, and the coastal path at Branscombe – the choice is endless. Closer to home, there are several rural walks from the village. Ashton will remain in your heart long after you go home. Please note the cottage is available for five adults plus a cot to ensure adequate space for everyone.
