The grounds are lovely, full of winding paths through trees and shrubs.

This is a little bit of God’s Acre, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Close to the village of St Neot, set down a tiny Cornish lane yet within easy reach of both coasts, Tamar Farm is a 19 acre smallholding with ancient woodlands, pretty wildlife ponds and lovely walks through fields, woods and alongside streams (take care with children near the water). The Owners, who live in a 15th Century farmhouse across the yard, are on hand to show guests their favourite spot to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet, or try your hand on the full-size tennis court. There is also a paddock where younger children can charge around and, for your dog, it is doggie heaven with many places to explore (please make sure dogs are on a lead around livestock). Transformed from old barns, these two semi-detached cottages are set side by side down behind a small paddock and parking-area, with stone steps down to the front door of Onan Cottage; Dew Cottage has two steps to the front door. Wireless broadband is available for those who have to work on holiday. The water is from a private supply, tested regularly.

Description

Onan Cottage (Cornish for one) is a real delight with its own enclosed raised garden and all mod-cons. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a very attractive sitting/dining-room with solid oak floors and soft deep sofas to sink into at the end of a day. As well as a sumptuous shower-room on the ground floor, there are two pretty bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs.
